A few updates:
This happened about 3 weeks ago, but I couldn't bring myself to write about it without gagging until now. 3 Monday mornings ago on the bus, a guy was brushing his teeth. No toothpaste or water included, he was using his saliva. And then he sucked on the bristles and made a slurping sound for the rest of the ride. Sick.
On Friday, when I got on the bus the driver got off and threw up on the sidewalk. Then I was sitting in front of two men who were talking about how bad the economy is and how they should start robbing people who are waiting for the bus. One guy said that wasn't a good idea because the people who ride the bus wouldn't have much money on them. The other guy agreed, but said they would have to look for targets that had big purses and dressed nice. Yikes.
Oh, and today I came across this word from the infamous bad speller lady... "anyanlisist".

I Got Caught
Yeahhhhh, so I got caught in the doors of the bus this morning. And by "caught", I of course mean that the bus driver shut the doors on me as I was standing in line to get on. I wasn't trying to get on at the last minute, I wasn't invisible, I was just the last in line to get on; waiting patiently for the person in front of me to dump his piggy bank into the money thingy. Then ole bus driver guy laughs at my expense and says, "See ya later!".... hardy har har hahahah har. I was like okay that's not funny you ass, how about you release the door before my shoulder cracks. I didn't say that, but I was pretty pissed.

Where is my garbage can?
Some good friends were visiting a few weekends ago, and during their visit I realized that my kitchen garbage can was in a terrible spot. I asked them where I should move it to and we put it in a new, more convenient location... thanks guys!
However, my mind just CANNOT wrap itself around the new location. Every single day... and it's been almost two weeks... I go to throw something away where the garbage used to be. Not just once a day, but several several times a day. And sometimes, within minutes of eachother! It's ridiculous! I tell myself over and over to stop going to the old spot, but my head just doesn't get it. I even scold myself out loud, I laugh and say "Seriously Stephanie?", I tell myself this is the last time, but it doesn't make a difference.
I'll give myself another week, and if I still keep going to the old location I'll get myself some help.

Why is it Greener?
Why is the grass always greener on the other side? It seems like we always want something else and what we have isn't good enough. Or we want something in the present that we discarded in the past.
I've asked around a little bit, and I've received a lot of the same response. That we should all just be happy with what we have, and appreciate what we have.
Well, I don't think that wanting more or having higher aspirations necessarily means we don't appreciate what we have. Why settle, when you can constantly set new goals for yourself and experience new things?
Even if the grass ends up being brown on the other side, at least you tried and you know what you're NOT missing out on. I think wanting to see the greener side of things gives us experiences and knowledge that we wouldn't have had otherwise.
I don't know. I feel like I haven't been assertive enough with certain things and this is what I came up with.

I'm Scared...
... for who might be elected as our next president. I'm a proud and public Obama supporter. I believe in what he stands for and believe he can dig our country out of what Bush got us into.
As a woman, there is no possible way I would EVER elect a president who doesn't believe in a woman's right to choose or a woman's right to contraceptives. And I cannot believe that ANY woman would vote for a person who doesn't support women's rights.
I also cannot support a man who does not believe in universal healthcare. What? Only rich people should get healthcare? EVERY SINGLE CHILD should have healthcare coverage and that's why I'm voting Obama.
I don't believe it is safe or effective to import prescription drugs to lower the cost. Importing drugs not regulated by the FDA isn't going to help anyone.
I am not supporting the increase in troop levels in Iraq and cannot support someone who wants to maintain that; someone who believes there was a morally justifiable reason to begin this war.
I keep hearing that people are afraid of Obama being elected due to his lack of experience. I'm afraid of electing someone who has continuously supported Bush and his dumb decisions. I'm afraid that ancient McCain will soon die and we will end up with Palin as president. THAT would be devastating.

Definition of Stephanie
This is what the Urban Dictionary says about me.
Definition #6: Stephanie is, to say the least, an incredible girl. She is an immediate soul mate, before you even have the time to realize it. She is gorgeous, but still stands out from the other pretty girls. She has a sense of humor that never dissapoints or keeps you from laughing. She has this aura about her that no one else could ever have. She carries herself with grace worthy of Grace Kelly herself. Stephanie is loving, unique, and maybe even a bit quirky; but its in a cool addictive way. Once you meet a real Stephanie, don't ever let go.
Definiton #8: Stephanie, a major whore who is probably getting pregnant as we speak.
Haha! I'm going to go ahead and choose the first one!
